While talking with Kazunori Taguchi, he mentioned that "cats react to good speakers." He said that a good speaker is one that a napping cat will sense the "presence" of the sound coming from and react to.

Indeed, the sound from Taguchi speakers feels less like something you hear with your ears and more like you're enveloped in sound, listening with your skin and hair. When I first heard the F613's sound in his workshop, I got goosebumps because I felt it on my skin rather than just with my ears.

Even soft sounds are clear; drums have a dry tone; even the ultra-low frequencies of a pipe organ are discernible; you can feel the resonance in a singer's voice…

Taguchi speakers produce incredibly delicate sound from small units.

Flat speaker unit that reproduces clear, natural sounds.

The "REX060," "REX060-P150," "T&L F613," and "T&L F801" (with the "Hexahedral Speaker LIGHT" option) utilize a "Flat speaker unit" with a flat diaphragm shape, rather than the conventional conical cone speaker unit.

When using a cone-shaped diaphragm, the concave shape generates radiation waves with various vectors, causing sound waves to interfere with each other and resulting in poor reproduction characteristics.

However, because the Flat speaker unit has a shape that is less affected by radiation waves, phase shifts are less likely to occur, resulting in clear sound reproduction.

Creating a Flat speaker required a lightweight yet highly rigid material, but the F613 solves this problem by adopting an aluminum honeycomb structure diaphragm, successfully reproducing clear, natural sound.

Taguchi speakers are handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans in a workshop in Shin-Kiba, Tokyo. Watching the meticulous cutting, polishing, and assembly process, you realize these speakers are more than just mass-produced industrial goods. Furthermore, the joyful demeanor of everyone involved in the workshop is striking. It feels as if everyone's passion has taken shape.

Kazunori Taguchi, who passed away in 2021, said during his lifetime that he wanted to "create products that would be loved for a lifetime."

Behind the creation of these products lies not only the developer, Mr. Taguchi, but also the many artisans and individuals involved who cherish these products. This passion is now carried on by his successor, Meiyu Taguchi, and the staff and artisans.。
